WHO ARE WE?

The Danish Minorities Centre for Human Rights and Development (DMC-HRD), established and officially registered in 2014, was founded with the core objective of promoting active global citizenship among immigrants, refugees, and other foreign nationals residing in Denmark. These groups frequently encounter language barriers and other obstacles that limit their involvement in Danish NGOs, often excluding them from decision-making processes and agenda-setting within the NGOs.

To address this disparity, DMC-HRD provides immigrants, refugees, and foreign nationals in Denmark with meaningful volunteer opportunities to participate in the design and management of human rights focused projects and activities both in Denmark and abroad. Through this inclusive platform, DMC-HRD seeks to facilitate the integration and empowerment of minority communities, amplifying their presence and impact within Danish civil society and beyond. The organization’s approach is instrumental in fostering a more inclusive and participatory civic environment in Denmark, ensuring that a diverse spectrum of voices contributes to social progress on local, regional, and global scales.

OUR GOAL

Our goal is to create a global society where every individual enjoys equal rights and respect.

Ever since its establishment in 2014, DMC-HRD as has individually and in collaboration with strategic partners in Denmark and also collaborating partner NGOs in developing countries engaged in numerous human rights focused initiatives both within Denmark and in developing countries.

A central focus of DMC-HRD's human rights focused projects and activities is the promotion and defense of the rights of disadvantaged minorities and marginalized communities with the ultimate goal of fostering an inclusive and equitable world for all.
